In animal-assisted therapy, animals are utilized in goal-directed treatment sessions, as a modality, to facilitate optimal physical, cognitive, social and emotional outcomes of a participant.
Outcomes such as, increasing self-esteem, increasing motivation and reducing stress. Animal-assisted therapy is delivered in a variety of settings by trained individuals.
Animals meet specific criteria and in accordance with guidelines established by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Art Therapy (AT)
Art therapist uses active art-making, the creative process, and the resulting artwork to explore their feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety, and increase self-esteem. Art therapy uses applied psychological theory, within a psychotherapeutic relationship, to enrich the lives of individuals.

Community Living Support (CLS)
Community Living Support (CLS) services are currently being provided by our Qualified Mental Health Professional-Community Services (QMHP-CS). These services are clinically based services used to develop and maintain a certain level of independence and the skills needed to function outside of four walls. CLS specialist provide assessments based on the individual’s and family’s need, develop a strategic plan centered on those needs expressed in the assessment, and implement those strategies in and outside of the home.
A CLS’s job is to promote independence, community participation, and personal independence. Those strategies implemented are not only geared towards the participant but the family, as well as the primary focus of developing a stronger family dynamic.

Recreational Therapy (RT)
"Recreational therapy is a systematic process that utilizes recreation and other activity-based interventions to address the assessed needs of individuals with illnesses and/or disabling conditions, as a means to psychological and physical health, recovery, and well-being."

The interventions used are appropriate to the needs and interests of individuals and are directed toward restoring and maintaining optimal levels of physical and psychosocial functioning.
Nutritional Counceling (NC)
A Dietician/Nutritionist is a professional who helps individuals develop wholesome, sustainable eating habits and become overall healthier individuals. A Nutritional Counselor assists individuals in meeting their basic and or special therapeutic nutritional needs, by counseling individuals in varying nutrition principles, dietary plans, and food selection.
Music Therapy (MT)
A Music Therapist is a professional who uses music to help individuals improve their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Music Therapists work with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate music-based activities such as singing, playing instruments, and listening to music. These activities are designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, improve communication skills, and enhance overall quality of life.
